Just How We came to Such a State as This Without Really Trying......Part Seven
Kristina Mikkelson Casanova Dec 19,2017 So many mountain passes to go over entering into Utah..some 8000 to 9000 thousand feet lugging that 32 foot trailer behind us in our old truck of the same age. Sometimes going down to twenty miles an hour. I wondered sometimes if we were going to make it to the top. Then we would have to brake going down the other side and at times the brakes getting red hot and we would have to pull over and let them cool. It seemed to never end. Finally a vast plain of sage brush was before us and mountains were far in the distance. A reprieve from all the mountain passes that also suck up your gas. We decided to camp over night on this BlM land and call it quits for the day even if it was early afternoon. So we found a road and some level land and stopped. It was so nice. Cool with a slight breeze and familiar sounds and the strong odor of big sage that I so loved. In the evening we sat...

worthy of a book ..

ReplyDeleteWell, I found it and excited to begin reading about your experiences! I am SO interested in the lives of others, probably because growing up my parents did not bring visitors to our home. My mom did not have friends, and my dad had friends whom he visited outside of the house. So I became an avid reader, and dreamer, very early in life and developed an intense curiosity about the lives of others. I love different cultures and local color also. Over the years I've spent much time studying maps and atlases, and today I spend lots of time on Google Streetview, going places where I'd never be able to do physically and places that I've heard of throughout my life. Thank you for sharing a piece of yourself here. Take care and God continue to bless you and Pete in remarkable ways! ♥♥♥
